Scarlett is always the sensible one: The sober driver. The planner. The one holding your hair back while you’re worshiping the porcelain gods.
Week-after-week, she visits Jock Row with her friends—the university’s hottest party scene and breeding ground for student athletes. And if keeping her friends out of trouble, and guys out of their pants, was a sport, she’d be the star athlete.
Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she’s banned from Jock Row. NO GUY WANTS A GIRL AROUND WHO KEEPS THEIR JOCK FRIENDS FROM GETTING LAID.
“Rowdy” Wade is the hot shot short-stop for the university’s baseball team—and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the Baseball House.
But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside.

I’m so ashamed to admit this…Sara Ney is a new to me author. I know you’re all probably thinking ‘where the hell has this girl been?’ I have to say, I’m freaking thrilled that I started my journey through Sara Ney’s novels with Jock Row! Baseball is my favorite sport. When I first read the blurb and heard this was about a baseball hottie, I immediately wanted to read this book!
Jock Row is a hilariously sexy novel about the captain of the baseball team and a woman who captures his attention after being suddenly banned from the baseball house.
Sterling ‘Rowdy’ Wade is the captain of the baseball team and reformed player. His main goal in life is to get drafted to the big leagues. He has his mind on the goal and off women. But one night and one sassy woman is about to change everything.
Scarlett Ripley had no intention of going to a party on jock row, until her friends decide to drag her along anyway. When Scarlett gets into a verbal altercation with one of the players, she is banned from the baseball house, and Rowdy is the lucky man to do the banning.
After a few friday nights and a couple of games of ‘Never Have I Ever’ and ‘Would You Rather’ the two start to form a bond. A bond that nothing can break through.
Jock Row was a cute and sexy as hell novel! I couldn’t get enough of Scarlett and Rowdy! These two make for an epic love story full of humor and sexual tension.
I absolutely adored Rowdy. This man is legit the whole package. He’s a sweetheart who wears his heart on his sleeve. I also sensed some strong alpha vibes the more time he spent with Scarlett. When it comes down to Jock type characters in novels, I’m all about the man having a total playboy exterior and a heart of gold lying beneath the surface. I loved the tenderness he showed towards Scarlett. and lets not forget the protective streak from the start. Rowdy is a one of a kind man.
I also loved Scarlett and her ability to be such a stubborn yet random woman. Her ‘true’ independence is something to be celebrated because it lasts through the whole novel. I adored Scarlett and her ability to stand up for herself but most importantly her ability to actually be herself.
I will definitely be reading more from author Sara Ney in the near future! If she’s a new to you author and your curious, pick up Jock Row! This is an epic love story full of laughs and steamy tension! I couldn’t get enough!
Overall, The only issue I had with this novel, I wanted those adrenaline inducing baseball moments. I was bummed to find the timeline of this novel was during the off-season. However, Jock Row is still an epic read and one that I am happy to recommend to all!
