One of New York Times bestselling author Samantha Young’s most beloved couples returns for the first time in a brand new novella set ten years after her blockbuster bestseller Before Jamaica Lane

Nate and Liv have a great life together but they miss the spontaneity and freedom they enjoyed early on in their romance. Careers and their children have inevitably kept them busy, so when Nate discovers Liv is feeling disconnected from him, he plans an anniversary trip to the idyllic seaside town of Hartwell, Delaware. There he hopes they will have the opportunity they’ve been craving–a chance to reinvent themselves and fall in love all over again.

With each new day comes a new adventure, from wedding crashing at the five-star boardwalk hotel to pretending they are two strangers having a chance encounter at the boardwalk bar. In the midst of this daring, sexually-charged game of romantic rediscovery, Nate and Liv discover the only constant they need is each other.

My Review

***ARC received for review***

You can’t get any more angsty than having a strong relationship crumbling under the pressures that come with every day life.

My first thought after reading On Hart’s Boardwalk….Damn I should have read this novel after reading both On Dublin Street Series and Hart’s Boardwalk series! If you are planning on reading those two series in the future, I highly recommend you read those before On Hart’s Boardwalk due to small spoilers contained in this novella.

This is a novella based on the characters Nate and Olivia. You can read there story in Before Jamaica Lane.

On Hart’s Boardwalk starts off with an angsty vibe towards an angst filled relationship. Nate and Olivia are at a rough point in their marriage. Olivia is feeling like she’s being taken advantage of. Ideas of her husband having an affair are starting to enter her mind. Nate has had a rough time after losing his best friend. He’s unknowingly pulled away from his marriage in every aspect. When Nate walks in on a conversation that Olivia is having with her friend he decides he needs to change his ways and he needs to work fast before the love of his life walks away for good.

I’m really kicking myself for not reading Before Jamaica Lane before diving into this one. If anything positive comes from this reading experience it’s definitely the fact that I’m very intrigued by these two and their story.
