Genre: Contemporary Romance/Angst
Publisher:ย Self Published
Publication Date:ย October 10, 2017
Synopsis:
It was like seeing a ghost.
When my late husbandโs twin brother moves back to our small town, I want to avoid him. Everything about Wes reminds me of the man I lost and the life weโd planned together, and after eighteen long months struggling just to get out of bed, Iโm finally doing okay. I have a new job, an amazing support group, and a beautiful five-year-old daughter to parent. I donโt want to go backward.
But Iโm drawn to him, too. He understands my grief and anger and guilt like no one elseโand I understand his. Before long, that understanding becomes desire, and that desire becomes uncontrollable.
He says he doesn’t care what people think, and love can never be wrong. But life has taught me it cruelest lesson–love doesn’t always win.
If only my heart would believe it.

5 STARS!
Melanie Harlow is now my go to author when I want an emotionally consuming novel! It’s taken me a while to arrange my thoughts so I can give this review everything I have.
From This Moment not only had the power to break my heart and feel every emotion these characters were feeling, but it also had the power to heal my already broken heart. I cannot put into words how much I truly loved this novel.
Warning: Keep a box of tissues and a bottle of Jack close by.
The first time I read the blurb for From This Moment I was drawn in, I HAD TO READ THIS. I’m a sucker for angst and this novel seemed right up my alley. It did not disappoint, less than halfway through the novel I was a blubbering mess.ย There is so much pain and agony living within Hannah, and so much guilt and reluctance living within Wes.
Hannah is a widow who is trying to move on from the devastation that came with losing her husband. She’s living day-to-day making sure her daughter has all the love and care she needs while slowing picking up the pieces of her shattered soul. When Hannah’s late husband’s identical twin brother, Wes, moves back home, all the pieces she had started to put back together fall back apart. Hannah is an incredibly strong character on the outside but underneath the surface she is broken. I admired her strength to move on and give her daughter everything she needs in life while suffering from such a traumatic loss.
Wes has been drawn to Hannah since the first time he saw her, she was everything he wanted but he let his fear and shyness get in the way and stepped while his brother stepped in. Now years later the feelings he harbored for his brother’s wife haven’t went away. He knows Hannah finds it hard to be around him, but the pull that has always been between the two, is now stronger than ever.
Wes now owns a piece of my heart. I loved his swoon and his willingness to be everything that Hannah needed. Whether it be a friend, a lover, or a confidant. He was it for her.ย There is beauty in Wes and Hannah’s story. I loved watching Hannah and Wes lean on each other.
I cannot get enough of Melanie Harlow’s compelling and heartbreaking stories. From This Moment is a story that hasn’t yet been told, It is a story that needed to be told.
