Synopsis:

She is his strength and he is her weakness. And this time he won’t let her go.

Edie Evans is gorgeous.
Sexy.
Kind.
She’s also the definition of off-limits.
But that didn’t stop me from sneaking into her room to comfort her at night.
But guys like me? We destroy everything, so it should have been no surprise when I destroyed us, too.
The night I sent her running, I thought I’d never see her again.
Until I saw her standing like a vision in the crowd.

Austin Stone is dangerous.
Alluring.
Tempting.
He broke my heart and I refused to give him the chance to do it again.
It’s been years since I’ve seen him, and now I can’t do anything but stare at the gorgeous, tattooed man playing onstage. I should run. I know I should. But like a fool, I run straight back to him.
Our desire is overpowering.
Our need unrelenting.

She is my hope.
He is my weakness.
We should have known a passion this intense would burn us right into the ground.

I am still over here kicking myself for not reading this series sooner! The Bleeding Stars series revolves around a rock band (Sunder). With each book that passes the emotions are heightened and the angst levels increase. Wait is the story of Austin and Edie.

Austin is the little brother to (Sebastian…aka….Baz). In the novel A Stone In The Sea you will get a glimpse into Austin’s tragic past. I have been waiting for this novel ever since reading A Stone in the Sea. I was dying to know more about Austin and what the route of his depression stemmed to. I was not expecting for my heart to completely break. I always remember the first time an author makes me cry and Austin’s confession surrounding the details of his twin brother made me a blubbering mess. The emotions portrayed through this scene where spot on and brought to life flawlessly.

In being completely honest….Wait didn’t start off the way i was expecting it to. In fact I was a little lost on who this Edie chick was. Turns out Edie is the sister of Sunder’s drummer Ash…….INTERESTING. Edie is also living with her own tragic past and trust me when I tell you… her story is not for the softhearted.

Austin and Edie are brought back together when Fate has a funny way of stepping in. These two broken souls are each others cure to a mended heart.

Overall, I really enjoyed this novel. Some parts were on the slow side but the angsty moments counteracted against the slow moments. I loved Austin and his story. He’s a character that easily broke my heart and then mended it. I do however wish that the epilogue had a little more to it though. I can’t wait to see glimpses of this couple in the upcoming novels!
