First let me start of with how FREAKING PERFECT this cover is for this novel!!!!! The pain and utter hopelessness etched on his face is amazingly accurate to what i envisioned while reading Alexander’s chapters. EEEEK i love when a cover matches the novel flawlessly!

I just finished reading this, my emotions are all over the place, I’m completely scatter brained and all I want is a bottle of wine and a box of tissues!

Whispered Prayers of a Girl is intense, endearing, heartbreaking and beautiful. This novel will have you living vicariously through these characters and hoping and praying that everyone will make it out alive and with their hearts still intact!

Less than a day….that is how long it took me to read Whispered Prayers of a Girl. The first chapter is how long it took to completely consume me.

Alex Grayson managed to rip my heart out of my chest before healing it, sticking it back in my chest and placing a ‘hello kitty’ band-aid over top of it to make it all better.

This novel is full of tragedy and hope. It’s about moving on from tragedy and starting over from scratch. It’s about healing and allowing others to step in and help you to heal. But most importantly what I got out of this novel is, it’s okay to hurt but there comes a point in everyone’s life where you have to take that hurt and turn it into something more, something greater that only your heart can see. Once you open your heart and let the pain bleed dry, then and only then will you be able to see all the endless possibilities in front of you.

Be prepared and keep a bottle of tissues near by, Daniel will have you laughing at his young boyish ways, Kelsey will have you crying..because honestly no little girl should have to carry that weight on her shoulders. Alexander will have you screaming out in anger and pain for the tragedy he has lived through. And you will fight for Gwen because honest to god with all the sadness surrounding her added to her own inner turmoil, this woman is a freaking superhero!

Overall, I loved this novel. It’s a great and meaningful story. The characters felt lifelike the plot was realistic but not over told. Out of all the angst novels I read, I can honestly say I’ve never read a novel that touched my heart the way Whispered Prayers of a Girl has.

I highly recommend this to all the angst lovers!
