Expect Me is the third book in the Rivers Edge series.

This is Travis Stevens story. Expect Me is my favorite novel….so far…in the Rivers Edge series. This novel gave me all the feels!

When I first read the synopsis for this novel I was thrilled. I had been wondering who the brother that finds himself with a baby on the way after a one night stand was going to be. I was shocked when I found the brother in question was Travis.

Not only was this novel sexy as hell, I mean come on what’s not to love about a man who likes to get his hands dirty and build things, it was also emotional.

As you all probably know because of the blurb and all, this novel involves a one night stand that results in a pregnancy. I loved the fact that this wasn’t a ‘secret baby’ novel. I loved that Josselyn told Travis upfront that she was carrying his child. I loved Travis’s reaction even more. Instead of freaking out and going postal he was calm and stated from the start he would be there for her and his child.

This was such a cute story. It was fun to see Travis and Josselyn form a friendship that eventually leads to a relationship between them…even after the deed was done and the bun was in the oven. It was fun to see a new side to the ‘One night stand/ I’m pregnant’ trope. Granted there was a hell of a lot of sexual tension throughout the ‘friendship’ period, that made it even more enjoyable.

I have mad love for Travis and the man that he started off as and continues to be throughout this novel, even through that one ‘big’ hiccup he still continued to do what he saw best for his future family and gave Josslyn what she felt she needed, space and time to think.

In the review I posted on the last novel I stated the fact that I loved Mama Stevens. I love her even more now. Elizabeth is the mother of all Four Stevens’ boys and Avery. She is always stepping in at the ‘right’ time and shining light on the angsty situations. I love her words of wisdom.

I’m starting to become addicted to this series, loving the emotion and hilarity of these characters and the brother sister back and forth banter. This series also has a true understanding of the word family, which for me is a huge! I love strong family aspects in novels.

I definitely recommend this novel to all that are looking for that lighthearted but serious romance novel.
