Title: One Final Breath
Author: LK Collins
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 27th, 2017 (NOW LIVE)
My Rating: 5 Stars
Synopsis:
One life.
One choice.
One love.
Sometimes it’s all we get and one moment could change it all.
I hate the number one—it haunts me; my every waking moment is a constant reminder of what I lost.
One day, I met a guy and I fell in love.
He asked me one question…I said yes.
Our life was perfect…until one day everything changed.
I watched him slowly slip and fade away.
The one person I loved, my best friend, my partner, my everything, was slowly dying right in front of my eyes.
The doctors said he had one year left; he only lasted one month.
As I held on to his hand, he took one final breath and slipped from this world.
Leaving me; one woman, one broken heart, one child to show the world to…all alone.
This is my story about the power of one…

My Review:
I just finished reading One Final Breath by LK Collins. Sitting here at my computer I’m completely speechless. I have deleted every word I typed two maybe three times because it’s simple, there are no words to sum up my feelings when it comes to this novel.
To say I loved it would be an understatement. This novel was literally EVERYTHING. I laughed and I cried. For an author to be able to pull that much emotion from their reader, It’s amazing.
I’m loving this emotional roller coaster that LK Collins just put me through, I’m not going to lie, I did read this book in one sitting. I’m dead to the world, exhausted right now for staying up all night, but i had no choice. One Final Breath consumed me! I could not put this novel down even if my life depended on it.
Faye had everything, until she lost the one thing she loved most in the world, her husband Ben. Ben lost his battle to cancer leaving her and her little boy to move on with life. Before he passed away he made Faye promise him she would take her wedding band off and try to live her life to the fullest. She made one promise but had trouble keeping the other, that is until Thane came into the picture. Thane is a father, a soon to be ex-husband to a shopaholic, and a pilot. He meets Faye when she leaves her wallet at home and he offers to pay for her coffee. He’s immediately intrigued and can’t get her out of his head even days after they meet. Thane is surprised when he steps into his sons classroom and sees Faye sitting at a desk with her son.
The connection between these two is very intense. I loved how understanding Thane was towards Faye’s need to keep Ben’s memory alive, Never did he once get jealous or pissed that she cried over him. He was her shoulder when she needed it and I loved how Faye talked sense into Thane when it came to his Ex. These two individuals make for one kickass team. Thane rocks the sexy single dad vibe! There is nothing sexier than a single dad that pays attention and cares deeply for his child.
I loved One Final Breath and am looking forward to reading more from LK Collins in the future!

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
