Synopsis

I fell in love with Cameron Hollis the moment I laid eyes on her.
She was everything to me.
We had nothing but a clean slate ahead of us, until the day I made the biggest mistake of my life.
I let her go. It was for her own good…at least that’s what I told myself.
That was five years ago, now my tour is over, and I’m home.
Nothing matters without her.
But I won’t go after her, the guilt I have is too much to face.
I lied…about so many things, she’ll never look at me the same way.
Zero f*cks, that’s how I live now.

Part of me died the day Nixon Andrews broke my fcking heart.
He became a Navy Seal and then decided the course of my future, like he had the f
ckin’ power.
Why?
Because he didn’t want to see me end up hurt. He was protecting me…from him.
But I didn’t need protecting, I just needed Nixon.
Even if he was halfway across the world, I needed to know that no matter what, we were going to be okay.
That was five years ago and still not a single word from him…

My Thoughts:

I Love Love Loved Zero F*cks!!! Nixon is easy to love and hard to hate no matter how much he pisses you off in the beginning! Loved Nixon and Cameron’s second chance romance.

Nixon is a sexy beast in the sheets! Wow. Zero F*cks had one of the craziest sexy time scenes i have ever read. Is it really possible…to do that…on a surfboard…in the middle of the ocean?

Five years ago Nixon signed up for the Navy to carry on his dads legacy after his dad died overseas. He not only took Cameron’s heart with him leaving her empty but he also took her brother with him. After five years spent in the Navy a situation occurs that gets Nixon let go. Now he’s back and Cameron is not happy especially due to the fact that he has joined her coast guard rescue crew.

I loved the fact that this story centers around an ex Navy Seal (Nixon) who is forced to face his problems and situations he left back home. I realized one thing while reading Zero F*cks and that is Regret is a bitch when you are forced to face it head on.

I’m not going to lie, at first i had very strong feelings that were borderline hate for Nixon. I hated the way he treated Cameron. I hated the things he would whisper to her. But then we got a glimpse in the mind of Nixon with his POV and it all made sense. He was such an ass because he lived on a day to day basis of regret. My hatred for Nixon quickly turned into respect of his situation.

I felt horrible for Cameron. Just when she starts to move on from Nixon and form a connection with someone new here he comes walking back in her life.

I loved the scenes where Cameron and her brother Connor (who was stationed overseas) would have their video call sessions. I loved how close the three of them still are even though there was a big elephant in the room.

You know in novels when it comes to the point of the twist and you know its coming so you try to prepare yourself for it. Yeah the twist in this novel there is no preparing yourself for. I wasn’t expecting a plot twist to literally crush my soul as it has done. My heart is smashed to pieces and the downside to this twist is there was no mending my heart or fixing the damage that is done. I’m still teary eyed thinking about it.

I highly recommend this to all the romance book lovers that love second chance romance novels. Take a chance on Nixon and Cameron’s story, it’s simply amazing!
