Itโs the end of summer. Just before I start senior year with my two best friends in the whole world. Dustin and Emily are everything to me. Weโve been inseparable since middle school, and when weโre together, nothing can go wrong.
But things arenโt always what they seem. Emโs turned into a drunken mess who parties too much. Dustin and I have hooked up a few timesโand now heโs ready to take our relationship to the next level. Yet Iโm not sure I want things to change. Iโm scared if I take it any further with Dustin, our friendship will be ruined forever. Then thereโs Ryan. The new guy. Heโs hot. He flirts way too much. And Em has totally set her sights on him.
So when my best friend betrays me in the worst possible way, guess whoโs there to help me pick up the pieces of my broken heart? Ryan. But heโs so confusing. Annoying. Sweet. Sexy. I want to trust him, yet he makes it so hard. What I really want is for everything to go back to the way it was before.
Before I found out that best friends make the worst kind of enemies.

MY REVIEW:
Wow! Talk about high school drama. Just Friends is full of it.
So to start off we have four characters that are the main overachievers in this novel (donโt ask why i call them overachievers thatโs the first word that came to mind when thinking of thisย cluster f*ck group of teens.)
First off we have Olivia but she goes by Livvey.
Then We have Emily who goes by Em.
Em and Livvey are best friends.
Then throw Dustin into the picture.
Dustin and Livvey have been best friends since grade school.
Now toss in the NEW KID Ryan.
Ryan is a player who always gets what he wants.
Heโs had Em now he wants Livveyโฆ
Now when you throw Jealousy in the mix between these 4 people what do you get..
โฆa lot of F*cking dramaโฆ.
The only way i can describe my reading through Just Friends is like thisโฆ.
Just Friends is like CRACKโฆYou know itโs no good for you but you continue reading anyways. Itโs an addiction. Out of Control. Crazy.
The only sane character in this novel is Amanda. Sheโs a smart cookieโฆ.keeps her secrets to herself.
We have all had that one friend. You know the one. She gets jealous of everything you have and everything you do. She wants what is rightfully yours and sheโll do everything in her power to make it happen. Yep everyoneโs had an EM in their lives.
Usually in novels we tend to choose sides based on how we think the story line is going to go. I found this extremely difficult to do.
Everyone has wronged someone in this novel. That is everyone except for Amanda. But the four mainโs in Just Friends are all completely disturbed mentally. How could you do that to your friends. Ugh i donโt even understand.
I found i disliked Livvey the most which is odd because iโm usually rooting for the main character. but i found Livvey to be really immature not to mention Em had Ryan first and she was one hundred percent in the wrong for pursuing her best friends โex-whatever they called itโ
I did however really like Just Friends. I feel really disturbed now after admitting that. I will be the first to also admit that i love love love drama in novels. Just Friends was packed full of high school juvenile drama. If that is what your into when it comes to reading i highly recommend this novel to you but be warned Just Friends ends with a small cliffhanger!
Peace, Love, and Happy Reading
