My Review:

I received an eARC through netgalley in exchange for an honest review

I’m in awe of Ravage and Tillie Cole’s ability to write such a dark series.

With each novel in the Scarred Souls series the intensity gets stronger. Ravage is so intense that i had to put down my tablet and walk away! It was literally consuming me!

After reading the ending in Reap and getting a massive cliffhanger….i was extremely excited to read Ravage. I knew this story was going to be unlike any of the other novels in the series. I went into Ravage one hundred percent blind as i did with the other two books.

Ravage is the story of Zoya and Valentin (194)

After years of being in hiding from the man that murdered her family and almost killed her in the process Zoya gets wind that the man searching for her (Jakhua) has been killed. Freedom is finally within reach. Zoya learns her brother is alive and decides to sneak away and see him for herself.

While trying to gather up the courage to confront her long lost brother (Zaal) Zoya is kidnapped by Valentin (194).

Valentin is a lethal assassin who has one mission and one mission only and that is to save his sister. He is controlled by the one that is referred to as ‘mistress’. She orders him one more hit and then promises to free his younger sister. The only problem is that hit is surrounded by security.

So Valentin kidnaps Zoya.

This novel in a weird way reminded me of beauty and the beast….If the beast was on steroids to make him into a killing machine….and his drug induced side had a fetish with ropes and liked to tie women up and hang them from the ceiling….

Wow i will never watch beauty and the beast the same again.

Okay so the only similarity is Valentin has scars on his face and all over his body thanks to the mistress. Ugh she is such a wench….

I loved how strong Zoya was throughout Ravage.

Zoya and Valentin’s love story is twisted and as dark as can be but way….way …..way down deep it was kind of sweet. I love protective alpha’s though!!! Well when they aren’t drugged and kidnapping you! Or using torture to get the answers that they want out of you.

Due to the fact that i do not want to spoil Ravage for you i’m going to end this review by saying i Freakin’ love Tillie Cole and the Scarred Souls series. Ravage is probably by far my favorite from the series. Also word of advice even though these can ‘technically’ be read as stand alone’s i highly recommend you read them in order.
