*Blurb*
Violet Jacobs is fearless. At least, that’s what the cowboys she snatches from under the hooves of bucking horses think. Outside the ring, she’s got plenty of worries rattling her bones: her young son, her mess of a love life, and lately, her family’s struggling rodeo. When she takes business into her own hands and hires on a hotshot bullfighter, she expects to start a ruckus. She never expected Joe Cassidy. Rough and tumble, cocky and charming, Joe’s everything a superstar should be-and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out he’s way out of Violet’s league.
Joe came to Texas to escape a life spiraling out of control. He never planned on sticking around, and he certainly never expected to call this dry and dusty backwaterhome. But Violet is everything he never knew he was missing, and the deeper he’s pulled into her beautiful mess of a family, the more he realizes this fierce rodeo girl may be offering him the one thing he never could find on his own.”
My Review:
4 stars!
I really enjoyed Reckless in Texas by Kari Lynn Dell.
When you think about western style romance novels that involve rodeos what do you think of?
You think about the bull riders. Admit it. We all think about the sexy bull riders!
No one ever takes into consideration that the bull fighters may be just as hot also.
Until Now.
Reckless in Texas is based on the life of a bull fighter and a pick up girl.
I loved that little twist.
Looking at the cover i thought it would be all about the bull rider but reading the blurb proved me wrong. You should never judge a book by its cover.
Joe Cassidy is sick of getting put on the backburner when it comes to his job. He’s the number one bull fighter in the rodeo circuit and he’s proud of that. He only wishes his dad and his boss could recognize his accomplishments.
After getting into a fight with his boss’s son, Joe gets “Laid off” but he knows it won’t last. his boss needs him.
Joe’s friend comes up with a plan to work a rodeo circuit in Texas and take a breather from his controlling boss.
Joe agrees and heads from Colorado to Texas.
There he meets Violet Jacobs (and Violet’s son Beni).
Violet is the only woman working the rodeo circuit as a pick up girl. (A pickup person is the one that rescues the cowboy after he gets bucked off the bull and/or bronco).
I loved Violets mom, she was always finding ways to bring Joe and Violet together.
I loved the way that Joe cared for both Violet and her son Beni. I also loved the family aspect.
Reckless in Texas wasn’t heavy on the sexy time scenes and was honestly a breath of fresh air.
Beni was a hilarious kid. Seems like when he came on scene he was always causing trouble.
If your looking for a good nature romance novel. Reckless in Texas is the one to pick up! Love the morals and values of this story. Love the family first vibe. I recommend it to everyone!
Peace Love and Happy Reading,
