First off….Let me tell you what actually went down in Taming the Biker by Cassie Alexandra.

Taylor first met Lauren at a party when they were in high school. She was standing outside cold and alone. Lauren had just found Carter (her boyfriend) cheating and was desperate to get a ride home. He however couldn’t drive her home because he was grounded from driving due to driving drunk. Then Taylor goes inside only to find his girlfriend (Amber) cheating on him with Carter’s brother! Oh my god do people not have morals in this novel! i guess not! Needless to say Taylor takes off and walks Lauren home.

Fast forward to the future (Here and now). Taylor is now part of the Gold Viper’s MC and he is apparently proud of his status as ‘womanizing manwhore’.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for manwhore’s in novels but something definitely turned me off when it came to Taylor who is now at this point nicknamed Tail. I could have done without the mention of his “Manwhore Status” ever freaking page. It went a little overboard to try to get the point across.

Carter calls Taylor and asks him to be the best man in his wedding. Of course Taylor accepts and insists Carter let’s him throw Carter a bachelor party. So they have it at none other than the Gold Viper’s MC strip club they own. I really liked Carter at this point. I expected him to be a dog and cheat but nope! But i was equally disgusted when Taylor disappeared with two strippers and then returned! Ugh the details literally had me cringing.

The wedding:

The awkward part of this whole story was the fact that Carter (who was once Lauren’s boyfriend) is marrying Barbara (who is Lauren’s sister). but what made everything even more awkward was the fact that Barbara and Taylor have a past. They hooked up one night and she became obsessed with him.

Lauren and Taylor hook up and the next morning Lauren has no recollection of sleeping with Taylor.

Lauren is also hiding something seems someone is blackmailing her and later on we find out this creepy old man is the reason she has recollection of that night!

Lauren and Taylor get together. They fall in love. Lauren gets pregnant…Typical romance novel type stuff.

Overall, I wanted and expected so much more from Taming The Biker. I love this series and Taylor (Tail) was one of my favorites so i was beyond excited for this book! However i was disappointed! I was disappointed at the fact that the synopsis made it seem like so much than what actually happened! I expected a secret pregnancy and then a SURPRISE, YOUR THE DADDY like theme…but no…i didn’t get that 🙁 In fact the “Pregnancy” was in the last couple chapters and the “Fight” between Taylor (Tail) and Lauren about said pregnancy was maybe a paragraph.
I was so confused. Everything happened in a blink of an eye and felt completely rushed!

I learned one thing from reading Taming the Biker…you can’t trust all blurbs! I personally don’t blame the author though because if i wouldn’t have read the blurb first i think i would have rated this novel a little differently but i had it in my head that this was a Secret Baby Surprise, your a daddy romance novel.
