Wrong Place, Right Time (The Bourbon Street Boys, #2)Title: Wrong Place, Right Time Series: The Bourbon Street Boys #2 Author: Elle Casey Genre: Adult/Romance Publisher: Montlake Romance Publishing Date: July 5th, 2016 Pages: 330 pages My rating: 3 out of 5 stars

“Synopsis” (From Goodreads)

Jenny’s single-parent life revolves around her kids and her job, which means that hours of Animal Planet and strings of computer code are about all she has time for. Not that Jenny’s looking for adventure or romance—she’s the type of woman who believes in playing it safe.

When Jenny is called upon to do some consulting for the Bourbon Street Boys—a New Orleans private security firm—she knows she should stay away. They conduct surveillance on known criminals and put themselves in harm’s way pretty much every day, so No is the obvious answer…Problem is, there’s a guy on the team with a body to die for and a dimple that just won’t quit luring Jenny in, tempting her to throw all caution to the wind.

Will Jenny take the risk or will she do what she’s always done—play it safe and wait for the right time?

My Review:

I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley for an honest review

I had a little trouble getting into Wrong Place, Right Time. Maybe it was my inability to connect with the Heroine (Jenny). I’m usually all for sarcastic main characters but Jenny was borderline snobbish to me.

Until…Dev came into the picture.

When Jenny started hanging with Dev and their kids started interacting  i really got into the book. But only then did i get hooked. By that time though i was already through half the novel.

Dev was probably my favorite character in Wrong Place Right Time. He was Hilarious, Cute, and Charming.

Maybe it would have been better if i would have read the first book in the series first. I heard these could be read as standalone’s but i think i would have gotten a little more out of this book if i would have read Jenny’s sister (May’s) book first!

I’m not going to say i disliked this book because i didn’t I just didn’t fall in love with it like i imagined i would. I will however pick up the first book and read that and then maybe do a re-read with this one!

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
