Ky
Three years ago my father walked away. Away from our MC club, all his responsibilities, and me. We haven’t spoken since the day he handed me the keys to the kingdom.
Shoved them down my throat was more like it.
I hate him, and the new family he’s playing house with. He left his entire life behind for a woman he barely knows. But I’m strong, resilient, and don’t need a damn soul to survive.
At least, that’s what I thought…until she walked into my bar.
Kira
Someone is watching me. I can feel it. I wake up in the middle of the night freaked out of my mind, paranoid a stranger is there. My skin prickles every time I leave my house, because I know someone is following me.
I’m afraid. Alone. And there’s only one person left to turn to.
The stepbrother I never met. The man my stepfather speaks so highly about, but never sees. He’s the president of a notorious motorcycle club, and exactly the kind of person I need to protect me.
Little did I know, Ky Parish, freakin’ hates my guts.
Slashes in the Snow is an enemies to lovers, stepbrother romance, romantic suspense (emphasis on romance) with dark elements. Reader discretion is advised.

If you haven’t read the prequel (Snowfall) to slashes in the snow, I highly suggest you do so. It’s not mandatory but it will give you a stronger understanding of Ky and his father, Gerard’s, relationship. Plus its a super sweet and sexy quick read. You can also listen to the audiobook for free on readmeromance(.)com’s podcast.
About Slashes In The Snow: Slashes In The Snow is a brand new MC romance by M. Never told in dual point of view (Ky and Kyra).
President of the Baum Squad MC, Ky is hell-bent on doing everything he can to get his life back to the way it was, the way it was before his dad walked away from the club life and all but thrust the presidency down his throat.
One thing Ky doesn’t expect is for the daughter of his father’s new wife to blow through the bar doors seeking his help and his protection from her stalker.
My Thoughts:
After reading the prequel to Slashes In The Snow and then reading the blurb, I couldn’t wait to dive into this one! I’ve said this a time or two, but I’ll say it again. Step-sibling romances are not my favorite. I either love it or I hate it when I finish the book. There typically is no middle ground. It has to be told the right way and can’t be too creepy. With that being said, I’m happy to inform you all, when it comes to this step sibling romance, there is zero percent creepiness. I guess it all comes down to how deep there sibling relationship goes. If they grew up as siblings and call each other bro and sis, that shit pretty much gives me the heebie jeebies. But this wasn’t the case whatsoever. Gerard pretty much kept his club family separate from his relationship with Kyra’s mom.
There are several facets that come along with Slashes In The Snow. Not only is this a sexy as sin novel, it’s also quite suspenseful. Kyra has a stalker and I’m absolutely for novels that include the whole who is it vibe. I love the mystery and playing the guessing games throughout, especially when I come out wrong at the end. And M. Never definitely pulled the cap over our eyes on this one! Which made this part of the novel that much more enjoyable.
Now onto the reasoning behind why I rated this novel 3 stars:
Being completely and 110 percent honest, I loved the beginning of this novel. I loved Ky’s fierceness and the whole battle between right and wrong vibe he was throwing off. But halfway through Slashes In The Snow, I started to get a bit annoyed by the relationship between Ky and Kyra. These two were so fucking good in the beginning… But then people started interfering and assumptions were made…. and then ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! Maybe it was the simple fact that there was so much going on at the tail end of this novel, It felt a bit rushed which caused the characters and their relationships to get a bit muddled.
Overall, Slashes In The Snow had its ups and its downs. The ups being the crazy hot sexual tension, the lust factor, the drama, and the crazy ass suspense! The downs being the fact that I had trouble connecting with the characters during the second half of the book.
Please remember, Books that I find okay, could turn out to be your favorite novel. My reviews aren’t a tactic to get you to not read the book. If you find a blurb intriguing and something in it sparks your interest, pick it up and give it a read. You’ll never know if you don’t try.
